-Victor Hugo

About Dorothy Di Lullo

altPrincipal owner and educator, Dorothy Di Lullo, began her teaching career in 1995, where she began teaching piano, keyboard, organ and theory from her students' homes. The Piano and Organ School of Music was established in Caroline Springs in 2004.

Since then, the home-studio setting has steadily established itself as a high quality piano and organ school that prides itself on excellence in teaching.

Dorothy Di Lullo completed her Doctorate in chemistry at Monash University in 2004 and went on to secure a position as a research scientist with CSIRO. During this time, music remained her number one passion. Moreover, this is what saw her through the many years of stressful and intense study and research. Along-side her studies in science, Dorothy completed her graduate certificate in Modern Organ and Theory.

Today, Dorothy's genuine passion for teaching and her commitment to balancing family life, has lead her to devote her career entirely to music. Having witnessed first-hand how children's confidence and self-belief can grow and lead them to become fine musicians and amazing young adults; Dorothy is a firm believer in the importance and benefits of active music making from a very young age. Hence, Dorothy is also a licensed educator of the exceptional music and movement program for pre-school aged children; namely Kindermusik. In 2011 Dorothy brought the fabulous program to Caroline Springs where she now leads group classes for children (aged newborn to 5 years) at the Springside Children's and Community Centre. Her mission is to be able to share the joy of music with as many children and their families, teenagers and adults within the community as possible.

Dorothy is a registered teacher with AMEB and ANZCA, and a ‘Professionally Certified” Kindermusik Educator. She has an approved Working With Children Accreditation. Dorothy's proactive and dedicated approach to her piano and organ teaching is highlighted by her involvement in educational events ( workshops and seminars) for music teachers in order to keep up to date. She offers additional opportunities to students. These include Masterclass attendances, recitals and an end-of-year concert with special guest artists. Dorothy takes great pride in her work and devotes a high level of attention to the practical and theoretical advancement of each student. This is evident by the proven-track record for preparing students excellently for piano, organ and theory examinations.
